吹牛大王

   Rodney the frog loved to boast.

    青蛙洛尼喜欢吹牛。

    Rodney always croaked and said

    洛尼总是呱呱地说。

    “I am the best， the best， the very very best！”

    “我是最好的，最好的，最最最好的！”

    “I can swim fast！ I am the best swimmer！” said Rodney.

    洛尼说“我可以游得很快！我是最好的游泳健将！”

    “I can sing loudly！ I am the best singer！” said Rodney.

    洛尼说“我可以唱得很大声，我是最好的歌手！”

    “I can catch lots of flies！ I am the best fly catcher！”

    Rodney jumped high and caught three.

    But Rodney did not have a best friend.

    “Will you be my best friend？” Rodney asked Bobby.

 “Sorry， no！” Said Bobby.

    “Will you be my best friend？” Rodney asked Susan.

    洛尼问苏珊“你愿意做我最好的朋友吗？”

    “Sorry， no！” Said Susan.

    苏珊说“对不起，不要！”

    Rodney asked one hundred other little frogs.

    洛尼问了其他一百只青蛙。

    “Will you be my best friend，please？”

    “你愿意做我最好的朋友吗，拜托了？”

    “Sorry， no！” Said Annie.

    安妮说“对不起，不要！”

    “Sorry， no！” Said Tom.

    汤姆说“对不起，不要！”

    “Sorry， no！” Said Joy.

    乔伊说“对不起，不要！”

    “Please， please， pretty please！” Said Rodney.

    洛尼说：“拜托，拜托，万分拜托！”

    But no one wanted to be his best friend.

    可是没有青蛙想做他最好的朋友。
